In today’s blog, I’m sharing how I passed the latest Juniper Networks Associate cert, the JNCIA-DC. This exam is designed for experienced data center networking professionals with advanced knowledge of the Juniper Networks Junos software and data center devices, this written exam verifies the candidate’s understanding of data center technologies, related platform configuration, and troubleshooting skills.
You know how much I love Juniper (This is my 7th Juniper associate cert, I’ll put links for all my other blogs about passing them down below). Juniper Networks provides great free resources for training, studying, virtual labs, and 75% off exam vouchers. Below I’ll share both my exam review video and my practice test walkthrough video! If you already have your CCNA or JNCIA-Junos, this is a great next step.
In the above video I discussed my testing experience, the exam details, and did a review of the topics covered and what you should definitely focus on in your studies. The exam itself covers the following areas:
- Traditional Architectures (multi-tier)
- IP-Fabric Architectures (Spine/Leaf)
- Layer 2 and Layer 3 strategies
- Overlay Network versus Underlay Network (Very Basic)
- EVPN/VXLAN basics/purpose
- Layer 2 Switching, VLANs and Security
- Protocol-Independent Routing
- Data Center Routing Protocols BGP/OSPF
- High Availability (HA)
Below is a video doing a walkthrough of the free practice test that Juniper provides with the course. I try to focus on explaining why I choose the answers that I do so it provides you with some context in your studies. Good luck in your studies!!!
